How to read this table
Heights are in metres above chart datum, the reference used on charts and official tables: mean sea level sits at 2.00 m. A low tide under 0.8 m uncovers large sandbanks in the lagoon; above 3.2 m are spring tides, with stronger currents at the inlets.
Inside the lagoon, by Olhão pier, the tide arrives a few minutes after the inlet. Ferry departure times can shift with the tide: always check at the pier.
Forecast calculated by Olhão Lovers with NASA's GOT5.5 tide model (R. Ray, Goddard Space Flight Center) and adjusted against the Hydrographic Institute's official 2026 table: for 95% of tides the difference is under 11 minutes. Not for navigation. To navigate, use the official Hydrographic Institute tables.
