Farol
How to take the boat from Olhão to Farol, the Santa Maria lighthouse and where to eat.

Farol is the settlement at the western tip of Culatra Island, by the Santa Maria lighthouse and the inlet that joins the lagoon to the sea. It belongs to the municipality of Faro and has a scheduled boat from Olhão.
It is the same boat as Culatra, so the departure times from Olhão are the same; the return leaves Farol shortly before calling at Culatra.

- It is the same boat as Culatra: it leaves Olhão, stops at Culatra and carries on to Farol.
- In summer the morning boats get long queues: arrive early. The ticket office takes cards.
